Task Force 45 is an Allied C-rated Infantry division in Steel Division II, available in the Tribute to the Liberation of Italy pack. Task Force 45 is one of the most unique combined arms formations found on the Italian front. Created at the peak of an Allied manpower crisis in August 1944, the formation features a motley assortment of reluctant American AA gunners turned combat soldiers, decorated Japanese-American volunteers, old-fashioned US cavalrymen, and freshly arrived Brazilian troops.
Each infantry deployment is phase-locked, with the American gunners coming first, followed by the fanatical Nisei squads, and finally the Brazilians. A large quantity of M2 90mm dual-purpose guns and AA half-tracks are found in this battlegroup. Two T70 recon tanks - repurposed M18 Hellcat prototypes - as well as other armor, including Wolverines, can be deployed. The heavy M1 155mm can be fielded alongside formidable 203mm artillery pieces.
Task Force 45 is very strong on the defense but requires skill to be used efficiently when switching to the attack.
