Voltigeurs is a French Infantry unit.
Overview[]
Voltigeurs represent the bulk of Régiment de Marche du Tchad the Armored Infantry component of the 2e Blindée. The Spanish Republican 9th Company is represented by the Nueve while Volontaires represent local French volunteers accepted as auxiliaries and replacements.
This regiment was created from metropolitan elements of Régiment de Tirailleurs Sénégalais du Tchad along with metropolitan French and European personnel.
Like their American counterparts Régiment de Marche du Tchad the Armored Infantry was organized into CDP Voltigeurs Squad, two Voltigeurs supported by a Voltigeurs-Mitr. and a Mortier 60mm squad. Unlike their American counterparts, 2e Blindée were not issued enough Bazooka preventing Voltigeurs having a squad level bazooka.
