Strzelcy (riflemen) are Polish soldiers from the 1st Polish Podhalian Rifle Battalion (1 Battalion Strzelcow Podhalan’skich) under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Karol Complak, 8th Polish Rifle Battalion (8 battalion strzelców) under Lt.Col. Aleksander Nowaczyński and 9th Polish Rifle Battalion (9 battalion strzelców flandryjskich) under Lt.Col. Zygmunt Szydłowski, operating as part of the 3rd Polish Infantry Brigade (3 Brygada Piechoty) under Col. Marian Wieroński.
