Sniper Scouts is a Canadian Recon unit.
Overview[]
Snipers were reorganized from being a company level asset to being concentrated in the Battalion Headquarters Company as a Sniper Section of eight men a Sergeant, Corporal, two Lance-Corporals and four Privates. After September 1944, Canadian Infantry Battalions added a Lieutenant and Batman to act as a small HQ for the sniper section which was designated the Scout Platoon.
