Overview[ | ]
A specialized variant of the most successful German pre-War armored car design, the Sd.Kfz. 231 (8-rad), the 263 was a dedicated command and control variant equipped with a fixed superstructure enabling the use of long range radio gear, a map table, and seating for staff officers. 240 were built, used on every front of the war as part of a vital element of German combined arms doctrine.
9. Panzer was still in the process of refitting before being sent into Normandy Campaign still had old equipment along with more modern equipment.
Strategy[ | ]
As an armored car, the Sd.Kfz. 263 is rather weak, boasting only an MG34, so it should be used almost exclusively for its Leader trait. As an armored car, it can quickly move around the battlefield to boost the accuracy of AT guns, tanks, or improve the resilience of an infantry advance.
