Panzer L6 is a German Tank unit.
Overview[ | ]
A conventional Italian light design introduced by Fiat-Ansaldo in 1940, Carro Armato L6/40 was the principal tank of the Italian forces fighting alongside the Third Reich on the Eastern Front, with a number of these vehicles further serving in North Africa. Its compact size and armament made it useful in a reconnaissance role, but the lack of proper armor or weapons made it ill-suited for fighting enemy tanks across the fronts of the Reich.
After Nazi forces seized Italian weapon stockpiles following Italy's surrender, a number of these vehicles were pressed into service in Normandy, designated Panzerkampfwagen L6 733(i).
Strategy[ | ]
- The L6 has got a good accuracy on its main cannon for an automatic 20mm weapon, allowing the Fallschirmjager to eliminate light armor such as Bren Gun Carriers at decent range. However, it's mobility and armor are not good and this unit will not scale very well in the late game, when it's best relegated to protecting vulnerable rear areas from raiders.
