Centaur IV is a British Support unit.
Centaur IV was only combat variant of the Centaur Tank to see combat. The Centaur and Cromwell design came from common specifications for a replacement of the Crusader tank. The design split into three different tank depending on the engine. The Tank equipped with the modified Liberty engine become the Centaur while the Meteor engine become the Cromwell.
Centaur IV was a CS version of the Centaur Tank using the 95mm Howitzer. During the Normandy Landing, Centaur IV were used by the Royal Marines Armoured Support Group with the forces at Sword Beach supported by 5th Royal Marine Independent Armoured Support Battery.
