Assault Breachers is a United States Infantry unit.

In contrast to the British CMDO Assault or the German Stoßtrupp/SS-Stoßtrupp, the Assault Breachers carry 300m weapons! The chief attraction of this unit is the combination of 2 smoke grenades, 3 explosives and 9 HP. But at 30 points they cost as much as two Stoßtrupp, so they should not be squandered.

The Germans placed in tidal flat of the beaches with obstacles to catch landing craft coming ashore at high tide. To counter the the obstacles V Corps created Special Engineer Task Force which made up of 146th Engineer Combat Battalion, the 299th Engineer Combat Battalion (less one company), and twenty-one NCDUs (naval combat demolition units) along with 150 1st Infantry Division troops trained in demolition. These units' mission was to breach the German obstacles.
