==Overview== [[6th Airborne]] had 53rd (Worcestershire Yeomanry) Airlanding Light Regiment, RA as their organic artillery support. Only 211th Airlanding Light Battery and forward observation parties participated in the landing due to a shortage of gliders. The rest of the regiment landed by sea. The Artillery Regiment had 24 M1 Howitzers. These gun served in the Airlanding Regiments and the Mountain Regiments in Italy. These Howitzer remained in British Airborne use until 1950s.
