25-pdr was the standard divisional Field Gun of the British Military during the World War II.
The 15th Infantry would be issued 72 25-pounders, in three field artillery regiments. Guards Armoured and the 7th Armoured would have one Field Regiment equipped with 25-pdr while the other issued Sexton (UK). In the Guards Armoured 25-pdr were used by 55th (Wessex) Field Regiment, RA. While the 7th Armoured 3rd Regiment, Royal Horse Artillery used the 25-pdr.
