Background[]
These troops were the uniformed Police force Ordnungspolizei sent to Eastern Europe to maintain order and provide internal security as Order Police battalions. In 1936 all German Police were placed under SS command. During the Operation Bragration these Policemen were sent or found themselves on the front line in a attempt to stop the Soviet breakthrough.
