- For the Steel Division: Normandy 44 unit see SD:Opel Blitz
Opel Blitz is a German Support unit in Steel Division II. It is the standard and cost-free means of transport of getting German infantry on the battlefield. If fired upon by enemy fire (even small arms fire) for a small duration, the Opel Blitz will permanently disappear and the transported unit will be forced to dismount. If it is struck by an anti-tank gun or something else powerful, the unit inside can instantly die.
A reliable three ton truck manufactured by Opel, the Blitz 3.6 became the symbol of German logistics throughout the Great War, manufactured in a number of variants, from the standard transport version to the four-wheel drive Blitz A. It also served as the basis for the Maultier all-terrain transport vehicle, capable of negotiating the challenging terrain of the Soviet Union's western republics.
