Like their American Armored Field Artillery counterparts, 2e Blindée's Artillery units used M7 Priest. 1er groupe du 3ème Régiment d'Artillerie Coloniale was created from the Artillery units that marched along with General Leclerc during his Africa Campaign. While the other two regiments were of Vichy heritage XI Groupe du 64eme Regiment d’Artillerie de Division Blindee and I Groupe du 40eme Regement d’Artillerie Nord-Africain.
Each Groupment tactique of 2e Blindée were assigned a Artillery element with 1er groupe du 3ème Régiment d'Artillerie Coloniale were assigned Groupment tactique Dio I Groupe du 40eme Regement d’Artillerie Nord-Africain were assigned to I Groupment tactique Langlade. XI Groupe du 64eme Regiment d’Artillerie de Division Blindee except for 1 Battery were assigned to Groupment tactique Guillebon while 1st battery was assigned to Groupment tactique Rémy.
