Gvardyia is a Soviet Infantry unit in Steel Division II.

Gvardyia/Gvardiya more famously known as Guards Units played a key and elite role in the Soviet army doing the Second World War.
The Red Army General Georgy Zhukov had this to say about the Guards. "The first period of the war gave birth to the Soviet Guards. For mass heroism and success in the battles of 1941-1942 the Guards title was awarded to 789 groups, formations, separate units, and fighting ships of the Soviet Armed Forces."
The planed Soviet rifle platoon has two light rifle section along with two heavy rifle sections. Heavy Rifle Section has two DP-27 instead of the one in the light rifle section.[1]

This Guards Rifle infantry unit is armed with a single potent 14.5 mm PTRD Anti Tank rifle. The 500 m range is modest but often enough when dealing with enemy half tracks and other low amour vehicles.
