7.5 cm Gebirgsgeschütz 36 (7.5 cm GebG 36) was a 7.5 cm (3.0 in) German mountain gun that replaced World War I era Mountain guns in mountain divisions. 28. Jäger was designed to fight in rough or less accessible terrain but was more motorized then their Gebirgs Divisionen counterparts. Artillerie-Regiment 28 which was redesigned Gebirgs-Artillerie-Regiment 28 on 11 May 1944 was equipped with two Abteilung of three batteries of four 7.5 cm GebG 36.
