The bane of infantry and most vehicles, barbed wire is a cheap yet efficient obstacle. Available in many shapes and forms, barbed wire is difficult to navigate without specialized tools and helps delay attackers. Barbed wire was an incredibly common sight in World War One and the bane of both Entente and Central Powers forces. Despite the far more mobile nature of warfare in World War II, it was still widely used for much the same purpose.

Barbed wire can slow down hostile forces including armored vehicle to funnel enemy troops into your defense and mobile forces. Barbed wire cannot block movement.
