38M Botond A was a 1.5 ton Hungarian truck produced by consortium of various Hungarian factories since no Hungarian factory can produce the order alone. 1443 trucks were built by the consortium in a period between 1938 and 1941 with the Botond B variant being built. These trucks were the mainstay of the Hungarian Army's motorization efforts with other domestic and foreign truck also being used.
