Background

During the Normandy Landing, 3rd Canadian Infantry's three Artillery Regiments were equipped with M7 Priest. After the landing the Artillery Regiments replaced their M7 with 25-pdrs. 3rd Canadian Infantry was has up seventy two 25-pounders, with each Field Artillery regiment has 24 gun separated into three eight gun batteries.
