{{Infobox division | subtitle = | image =default ger.png | image size = | icon = | image desc = | type =Mechanized | affiliation = | nation =Germany | leader =[[File:loper.png|center|100px]] Generalleutnant Friedrich-Wilhelm von Loeper }} '''{{PAGENAME}}''' is a German Mechanized division in ''Steel Division II'' ''Lucky 13'' DLC. Formed as a hurried response to the Slovak Uprising in late August 1944, Panzerdivision Tatra was close to a Panzergrenadier-Division in size and firepower. Under the command of 178. Panzerdivision’s staff, various disparate training, reserve, and militia units were cobbled together and quickly thrown into battle. Panzerdivision Tatra includes some lavishly equipped SS Sturmgrenadiers, as well as Landesschützen, Ersatztruppen, Schupo, and local Volksturm. Armor is equally varied, ranging from the ubiquitous StuG III G and Panzer IV H to older Panzer III, Panzer 38(t), and even a handful of Tiger Es. Hetzer, Jagdpanzer IV, and Marder III tank destroyers can also be found. Czech guns make up the bulk of the formation’s artillery, with a strong and uncontested Luftwaffe flying top cover. Panzerdivision Tatra is a surprisingly well-rounded mechanized battlegroup, compensating for a lack in AA with its strength in infantry and air support.
