The unit is fully functional and can be re-added as part of a mod. As a matter of fact, it suffices to add the unit name Descriptor_Unit_Grizzly_Skink to the desired entry in the file: ../yourmod/GameData/Gameplay/Decks/Generated/Packs.ndf
The used Ammunition type are Ammo_Quad_20mm_Skink_HE against ground targets and Ammo_Quad_20mm_Skink_AA against airplanes. Both do 0.4 physical and 40.0 supression damage, but as usual, the AA rounds have a much smaller splash damage radius for the physical damage and a much higher radius for the suppression damage. The values are almost identical to those of the German Flakvierling.
The game wrongly depicts this as being 0 HE damage but as this value does not affect the done damage, the unit is fully functional! This can be quickly fixed in the file ../yourmod/GameData/Gameplay/Gfx/Generated/WeaponDescriptor.ndf.
One of the more interesting creations of the Canadian war industry, the Skink was a conversion of the locally-produced M4A1 Sherman tank, the Grizzly cruiser. Instead of the 75mm gun, it mounted four 20mm Polsten automatic cannons, designed to engage enemy aircraft. The turret housing the complex mechanics was one of the largest armour castings ever made in Canada, and by 1944 the Grizzly Skink was ready to be accepted into service. Problem is, at that point the Allies established control of the air in Europe and the Skink lost its ecological niche. After the contract was cancelled, one of the three completed Skinks was dispatched to Europe for field trials with the First Canadian Army. The tank visited all but one of the Canadian armored regiments on the front, frequently engaging in direct combat with enemy infantry. Its firepower and resilience were well-liked by the soldiers, but ultimately was not enough to salvage the project. The Skinks were all scrapped in the decades following the war, with only unfinished turret castings surviving.
