2nd New-Zealand is an Allied mechanized division in Steel Division II Nemesis Division series. The 2nd New Zealand Division was an oddity among the Allies - neither infantry nor armored but a hybrid combined-arms battlegroup.
Having fought around the Mediterranean as part of the British Eighth Army, the veteran formation now found itself tasked with capturing Rimini.
Counting on numerous infantry, including the famous Maori battalion and the attached 3rd Greek Mountain Brigade, as well as ample armor, the 2nd New Zealand Division doesn’t have any real shortcomings.
Its arsenal contains mostly older equipment such as Sherman M4A2, Universal Carriers, and Lynx Scout Cars. Bristol Beaufighter and the Spitfire Vc/Trop protect the skies above. Notorious for its troops’ looting behavior, the formation contains some weaponry of questionable origin, including captured German and other “liberated” Allied materiel.
The 2nd New Zealand Division is a well-rounded choice, balanced on both the offense and defense.
