AB M3 Gun 37mm is a United States Anti-tank unit.

Overview[edit | edit source]

M3 was the first American Anti-Tank gun fielded by United States forces in numbers. These anti-tank guns had issues with mid-war tanks. Airborne Command had issues with 57 mm M1 in the summer of 1943 claiming its unfitness for airlifting and still have M3 37mm on Table of Organisation and Equipment. These were replaced by British made 6-pounder gun on carriage Mk III during Normandy Landing.
