715. Infanterie is an Axis C-grade Infantry division in Steel Division II, available in the Men of Steel DLC.
The 715. Infanterie-Division was a mobile reserve formation created in occupied France, composed of old and infirm soldiers. Transferred to Italy, the second-rate division’s baptism of fire came during the Allied amphibious invasion at Anzio in 1944. Reinforced by fresh troops, heavy tank destroyers, and fascist Italian forces, the battlegroup acquitted itself well while fighting to contain the beachhead.
A colorful range of infantry fills the 715. Infanterie-Division ranks, from pasty reservists to Luftwaffe penal troops and Decima Mas naval special forces. While time-locked, a varied arsenal contains units such as the Italian panzer P40 737(i), Tiger E, Sturmpanzer, Cannone 47/32, towed K.390(r) 122mm and super-heavy Mörser 220mm howitzers, and even the mighty Elefant tank destroyer.
The 715. Infanterie-Division is a versatile battlegroup, with infantry of varying quality backed up by few but powerful, heavy-hitting units.
