4 Munte

4 Munte is a Romanian Infantry division in Steel Division II: Black Sunday. Mountain troops were considered elite in the Romanian Army, and the 4 Munt - or 4th Mountain Division - was no exception, soldiering on tirelessly during the many battles against the Red Army. This division took the full brunt of the Soviet strategic offensive that breached the frontier into Romania proper, being destroyed after a tenacious defense.

Most of the experienced mountain infantry (the Vanatori de Munte) fielded by the 4 Munt carry the Raider trait, letting them ignore suppression while behind enemy lines. A unique light tank destroyer, the Vanatorul de Care R-35, can be found in this division’s arsenal. Polish PZL P37s and Italian JRS-79 bombers provide air support.

The 4 Munte can count on an array of powerful units, foremost its veteran soldiers, equally formidable on the attack as they are on the defense.
