'''{{PAGENAME}}''' is a Soviet Infantry division in ''Steel Division II''.  The 26th was one of the divisions earmarked for Bagration’s first assault wave against Orsha, one of the main German stronghold.

Tasked with breaking through the lines of the elite [[78. Sturm]] division, it was reinforced with special assault units: [[OT-34|OT-34 flame tanks]], [[KV-1E|KV heavy tanks]], super-heavy artillery (self-propelled [[B-4 203mm|203mm howitzers]] & [[Br-5 280mm|280mm howitzers]]), engineers-sappers (the crème de la crème of the Soviet Army).
Stripped of most tracked guns (AA, artillery & AT), it compensates with [[SU-76M|self-propelled ones]] and heavy fighter-bomber support ([[Il-2-37 Tank Buster|IL-2]] and [[Pe-2-83 Medium Rocket|Pe-2]]).

Definitively one of the strongest close-quarter and anti-infantry division on the Soviet roster, it will require more skill to defeat an armor-strong opponent.
