19-y Tankovy Korpus

19-y Tankovy Korpus is a Soviet Infantry division in Steel Division II: Burning Baltics. From late June to mid-August 1944, the 19-y Tank Corpus fought from Vitebsk to Riga’s outskirts, losing half of its tank strength along the way. When Operation Doppelkopf unfolded, this formation was one of the few mobile units available to counter the attack.

The battlegroup features less infantry and fewer T-34/85 tanks compared to a standard Soviet tank corps, but can deploy a select number of KV-85 and IS-2 heavy tanks in turn. A wider choice of artillery, including Katyusha launchers, 152mm guns, and even 203mm howitzers, as well as AA units, are available. Additional firepower is brought to bear by the lend-lease American B-25J-30, a modified close support plane, armed with seven forward-facing .50 cal machine guns.

The 19-y Tank Corpus is an armored battlegroup that feels most at ease in defensive situations.
