17. Divisioona is an Axis C-grade Infantry division in Steel Division II, available in the Men of Steel DLC.
The Axis Finnish-Swedish 17. Divisioona saw action during the Fall of Vyborg on the Karelian isthmus following the Soviet summer offensive in 1944. Containing not only the shaky recruits that led to the fall of the city, but the division also counts on experienced Fenno-Swede volunteers who ultimately prevented a catastrophic breakthrough. The mix of inexperienced Prikaatilainen bolstered by Swedish Sextiettan provides the core of the time-locked division’s fighting power. Indirect fire support is plentiful, from reworked BT-42s to numerous artillery mortars and guns, including captured 203 H/17 203mm. Anti-air units are likewise potent, from motorized Ford-powered Urk-Itkk to 75mm 76 ItK/34V guns with AP shells. The 17. Divisioona is a defensive battlegroup invested in infantry, anti-air, and artillery, and when committed to built-up battlefields, can steadily grind its way to victory.
