{{Infobox division | subtitle = | image =16 panzer.png | image size = | icon = | image desc = | type =Armored | affiliation = | nation =Germany | leader =[[File:back.png|center|100px]] Oberst Hans-Ulrich Back }} '''{{PAGENAME}}''' is a German Armored division in ''Steel Division II'' Nemesis Division series. Reformed after its destruction at Stalingrad, the 16. Panzer-Division served in France and Italy before being sent back to the Eastern Front. Here, the formation was used as a “fire brigade,” shuffled around without respite as a fast reaction force to help out where needed most. As such, and despite its previous losses, 16. Panzer spearheaded the counter-offensive against the Sandomierz bridgehead in 1944, reinforced heavily for the occasion. With two attached Tiger battalions, the 16. Panzer can count on a tremendous amount of armored firepower with the brand-new Königstiger (H) leading the way. To offset the lack of off-map artillery, a large number of Nebelwerfer rocket launchers can be deployed. Luftwaffe air support is also more substantial than normal, resulting in the availability of numerous fighter and fighter-bombers. The 16. Panzer-Division is an up-gunned armored division well suited for its role as an offensive sledgehammer.
